Liposuction

Liposuction uses small cannulas to remove fat from unwanted areas of the body.  The results work best for those with good skin tone who have localized areas of fat.  It can address almost any area of the body, including the chin, arms, abdomen, hips, back or thighs. The procedure can be done alone or in addition to other procedures such as fat grafting or abdominoplasty. Liposuction is performed under general anesthesia or sedation. Patients usually go home the same day in a compression garment. Results are seen immediately; however, due to swelling and bruising the final outcome is visible in three to six months. Results are long lasting with weight maintenance and a healthy lifestyle.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck,” is a surgical procedure which removes loose or overhanging skin and fat from the lower abdomen.  An incision is made along the lower abdominal crease as well as around the umbilicus.  Frequently, the internal separation between your rectus abdominis or “6-pack” muscles is also repaired, giving you the feeling and appearance of a tighter abdomen.  This is considered a “full abdominoplasty” and is most often beneficial for women after one or more pregnancies or significant weight-loss.  A “mini-abdominoplasty” removes excess tissue from the lower abdomen but may allow for shorter, more limited scars in those women with minimal laxity or excess.  Talk to your surgeon to discuss which procedure is most appropriate for you. Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and patients frequently go home the same day; however, an overnight stay may be required if combined with other procedures.

Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)

Brachioplasty, or “arm lift,” is a surgery to remove excess skin and fat from the arms.  The procedure involves incisions made along the length of hanging skin and fat and may be combined with liposuction.  Patients who have lost a significant amount of weight may be good candidates for a brachioplasty.   The best candidates are patients who are at their stable, goal weight and with good underlying muscle tone.  Brachioplasty is performed under general anesthesia and patients frequently go home the same day; however, an overnight stay may be required if combined with other procedures. The scars can be variable and unpredictable in appearance and widen or separate during the healing process. Due to swelling and bruising, the final result is seen in three to six months.  The results are lasting with healthy maintenance of weight.

Brazilian Butt Lift

Brazilian Butt Lift, or fat transfer to the buttock, is used enhance the buttock area, making it more shapely and fuller. In this procedure liposuction techniques are used to harvest unwanted fat from areas of excess, purify it and transfer it directly into the buttock region. Small access sites are hidden in natural skin folds and usually heal with minimal or no scarring. The amount harvested and transferred is individualized to the patient and is discussed during your consultation. This procedure is usually done under general anesthesia and patients go home the same day. Results are seen immediately; however, we expect some fat to resorb and any hardened areas to soften such that the final outcome is achieved in three to six months. Results are long lasting with weight maintenance and a healthy lifestyle.

Mommy Makeover

Mommy Makeover is a combination of procedures which address the problem areas women have after having kids. Pregnancy causes stretching of skin, loss of contour, and distortion of abdomen and breasts. Breast feeding causes additional change to the breasts, frequently leaving them “saggy” and deflated. Your surgeon may recommend surgery to improve your breasts and abdomen through a combination of surgeries tailored just for you.

Thigh Lift

A thigh lift, or “thighplasty,” is a surgery to remove excess skin and fat from the legs. The procedure removes loose, hanging skin and fat of the thighs but can sometimes include areas around the knee or into the lower leg. The goal is to create a tighter, more shapely contour of your thighs. The procedure involves incisions made along the length of hanging skin and fat and may be combined with liposuction.
